Course description:
This introductory class will give students exposure to management styles that are adaptable for multiple business types: big vs. small, business ethics, economics and international business. The course will also focus on introductory concepts from financial, marketing, and human resource management. Students will explore problem-solving techniques that lead to successful business decisions. They will apply their knowledge to create a basic marketing plan for a new sports franchise, a human resource help wanted ad, and a taste test comparing generic vs. name brand products. Students will gain experience adapting their knowledge to logically solve problems across multiple business styles.
